horizontal school is inspired by 20 years of experience in non-formal citizenship education in MitOst and the International Facilitator’s Education in the scope of the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg, encouraging youth engagement for democratic, peaceful and resilient societies in over 24 countries.
Idea & Concept
The idea for and concept behind horizontal school was co-developed and brought to life by the community of the Theodor-Heuss-Kolleg. Having a large pool of international facilitators, the community continuously contributes to the horizontal school trainings.
horizontal school is hosted by commit gGmbH by MitOst, an international NGO fostering cultural exchange, active citizenship, social cohesion and sustainable urban and rural development – beyond cultural, sectoral or linguistic borders. By offering its educational formats to a broader audience, horizontal school contributes to the impact of MitOst.
